To all of you my dear followers……. here’s the most raw, transparent and truthful post I have ever written on my blog…. I know I might be criticized and/or judged but I feel the need to share an update. I never want to come across or pretend that my life is perfect because it’s far from it. Holy molly! HUGE apologies to you all because it’s been almost 2 months since my last post. Yah yah you know I’ve been sooooo insanely busy since taking on the adventure to open a retail shop in Chandler, AZ. We had our grand opening last month on September 5th and I could not be more excited to see one of my dreams come true. It has been so tough getting to this point but here I am ready to work my booty off and do what I love until I retire! 😉
Hi friends! Did you know that Hispanics are twice as likely to develop type 2 diabetes? It runs in my family and I have to watch what we eat. Eating well to maintain a healthy weight is one of the most important things you can do to lower the risk for type 2 diabetes. Avocados are virtually the only fruit that contains monounsaturated fat, and they are sodium, cholesterol and trans-fat free. We eat avocados on a regular basis. Here’s a simple recipe my family has enjoyed over the years. My mom loved making these “Avocado, Lettuce and Tomato” sandwiches while growing up and it became a family tradition to eat these on Saturdays for lunch!
